Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 8, 2026

These Terms and Conditions explain the rules, responsibilities, and expectations for using the Travellios website, mobile application, and services. By creating an account or using Travellios, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About Travellios

Travellios is a platform that connects travelers who need support (Service Takers) with travelers who are willing to provide support (Service Providers) during their journey. Travellios helps members connect, communicate, and create travel support arrangements.

Travellios does not provide travel companionship services directly. Travellios provides the platform that helps members connect with each other, and acts solely as a mediator between the two parties.

Travellios is operated by Kishreeja LLC (“Travellios”, “we”, “us”), based in Chicago, Illinois (EIN 33-3821196). You can reach us at support@travellios.com. Your access and use of the Services constitute your agreement to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.

These Terms supersede any prior agreement or arrangement between you and Travellios. Supplemental terms may apply to a specific event, activity, or promotion; where they do, they are disclosed to you alongside that offering and prevail over these Terms if the two conflict.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use Travellios. Membership is free and lets you browse the platform, book tickets, and engage paid companions. You must provide accurate information when creating your account, and may need to verify your identity and submit supporting documents before you can book. We verify your identity using your mobile phone number and a one-time passcode; you are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under it.

3. Member responsibilities

All members agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information.
  • Maintain updated profile information.
  • Complete required verification.
  • Respect other members.
  • Follow Travellios safety guidelines and community rules.
  • Use the platform responsibly.

Members are responsible for their own decisions and interactions with other members.

4. Service Taker responsibilities

A Service Taker is a traveler seeking support during their journey. Service Takers agree to:

  • Provide accurate travel details and support requirements.
  • Review Service Provider information before connecting.
  • Understand the service arrangement before booking.
  • Complete payment for applicable fees.
  • Review and sign the Travel Journey Contract.

5. Service Provider responsibilities

A Service Provider is a traveler who offers support to another traveler. When a Service Provider selects “Open for Service”, they confirm their willingness to provide support and agree to the Travellios Travel Journey terms — the offer is made to every Service Taker on the route, without filtering or selective screening.

To become a paid Service Provider, an applicant must:

  • Provide evidence of a confirmed flight booking for the journey, verifiable by Travellios.
  • Complete onboarding, including identity verification, required documentation, and payout details.
  • Pass Travellios's review of the submitted materials.

Approval is at Travellios's sole discretion, and Travellios may request additional documentation at any time. By applying, the Service Provider authorizes Travellios to contact the airline to verify the booking; declining this verification may result in denial of eligibility.

The Service Provider also agrees to:

  • Provide the agreed support respectfully.
  • Follow Travellios safety guidelines.
  • Respect the Service Taker's privacy and personal boundaries.
  • Communicate honestly and responsibly.
  • Maintain a professional standard of conduct throughout the journey.

The Service Provider does not need to separately accept or sign the Travel Journey Contract after a connection is created — selecting “Open for Service” is treated as agreement to the Travel Journey terms.

A Service Provider may accompany more than one Service Taker on the same journey at the same time, as long as every party involved has explicitly consented to the arrangement and it does not conflict with these Terms.

6. Travel Journey Contract

When a Service Taker selects a Service Provider and the connection is created:

  • A Travel Journey Contract is generated through Travellios.
  • The contract includes journey details, service details, fees, cancellation terms, and safety guidelines.
  • The Service Taker reviews and signs the contract because they are requesting the service and completing payment.

If a Service Provider only covers part of the Service Taker's itinerary, the contract reflects that coverage — the Service Taker is responsible for arranging and managing the remaining portion of their journey on their own.

7. Communication and connection rules

To keep the matching process fair and safe for everyone, no communication may take place between a Service Provider and a Service Taker before a booking and its payment are completed through the platform. Attempting to arrange contact outside this process may result in suspension or termination of the involved accounts.

  • The Service Taker chooses freely from the Service Providers available on the platform.
  • Communication channels open only after the Service Taker confirms the booking and payment.
  • Members should use Travellios's in-app chat and call features whenever possible.
  • Members should not share unnecessary personal information, and must communicate respectfully.

In-app chat and call become available 24 hours before the scheduled travel date, so members can coordinate arrival time, meeting point, airport assistance, and other travel details. If you choose to share personal contact information outside the platform, you do so at your own risk — Travellios is not responsible for the consequences of communication that happens outside its systems.

8. Booking and payments

Payments may include:

  • Airline ticket or travel booking costs.
  • A single Travellios service fee for the Service Provider connection (see below) — Travellios charges only this fee; the rest of the charge belongs to the airline.
  • Applicable taxes, national or provincial fees, and airport fees or surcharges set by the airline or airport.
  • A payment-processing fee, including for split payments across multiple payment methods.

All charges are shown before payment confirmation and processed through secure payment providers. Fares and availability are set by airlines and may change before your booking is confirmed, so you are responsible for reviewing booking details before you pay. Charges are final and non-refundable unless otherwise determined by Travellios. Any gratuity you choose to offer a Service Provider is entirely voluntary and never a condition of the service.

When you pay for a Service Provider's support, Travellios collects that payment as the Service Provider's limited payment collection agent — paying Travellios satisfies your payment obligation to the Service Provider in the same way as if you had paid them directly. Charges are due immediately and a receipt is emailed to you; if your primary payment method fails, you agree that Travellios may charge a secondary payment method on file for your account, where available.

Travellios may establish, remove, or revise its fees at any time. Charges may rise during periods of high demand, and Travellios may offer promotional discounts to some users that do not extend to others.

Companion fees

The companion fee is set by Travellios, not negotiated between the parties, and charged per person:

  • International flights — $100 plus applicable taxes.
  • Domestic flights — $50 plus applicable taxes.

One-way booking policy

Every Travel Journey Contract is booked one-way. If a Service Taker wants a return trip on the same route, they start a new Buddy Finder request for the return leg, and only the return companion fee applies.

9. Free companionship

Some Service Providers offer their support without charging a fee. Travellios does not process payment for, or issue refunds on, a free companionship arrangement — any financial arrangement a Service Taker and a free Service Provider agree to between themselves is entirely their own responsibility. Travellios acts only as a facilitator connecting the two members and is not liable for disputes, losses, or damages arising from a free companionship arrangement. We recommend agreeing on clear terms before the journey begins.

10. Cancellations, no-shows, and refunds

Airline tickets, flight changes, schedule changes, and airline refunds are controlled entirely by the airline — Travellios has no say over airline policy and is not liable for airline delays or cancellations. The terms below cover the Travel Journey service itself.

If a Service Taker cancels or does not show up

  • The Service Provider is not entitled to any compensation for the engagement.
  • The Service Taker owes a cancellation fee — $35 per person for international flights, $20 for domestic.
  • A "Trip Cancelled" remark is permanently recorded on the Service Taker's profile — it cannot be removed — and is visible to other members during future matching.
  • Service fees already collected are not refunded.
  • Repeated cancellations may lead to account review, restriction, or suspension.

If a Service Provider cancels

  • The Service Taker receives a full refund of payments made.
  • The Service Provider forfeits any right to compensation for that trip.
  • Every cancellation counts toward a running tally on the Service Provider's profile, visible to Service Takers during matching and may affect future bookings.
  • More than three cancellations in a calendar year results in suspension of the Service Provider's account.

Flight delays and cancellations

Travellios is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by an airline or other events outside its control. The Service Taker must promptly notify the Service Provider of a flight cancellation and any new travel arrangements; the two coordinate directly to adjust plans. If an airline cancellation is confirmed, the Service Taker may be eligible for a refund once Travellios has verified the cancellation against the required documentation — any partial refund is assessed and determined by Travellios, not negotiated directly between the Service Taker and Service Provider. If a dispute arises from a flight cancellation, Travellios will facilitate communication between the two members but will not intervene in financial matters between them unless required by law. Repeated cancellations or poor communication around a cancellation may result in negative remarks on a member's profile and affect future matching.

Other unforeseen circumstances

For situations not covered above, Travellios reviews each case individually. To request a refund, the Service Taker must submit a written explanation of the situation for Travellios's review. A Service Provider who incurs additional costs because of a cancellation or last-minute change may seek compensation from the Service Taker, but only if agreed in advance and documented within the platform.

Disputes and payment holds

If something goes wrong with the service, the Service Taker can select “Dispute” to hold payment while completing the trip. This flags the case for Travellios to review before any payment is released to the Service Provider.

11. Payouts to Service Providers

Companion fees are collected from the Service Taker and held by Travellios until the journey is complete, then disbursed to the Service Provider.

  • Payouts are made by direct deposit to a US bank account provided during registration.
  • Payouts are typically processed 7–14 business days after the trip is completed and confirmed, though Travellios may adjust this schedule for operational reasons.
  • All payouts are made in US dollars; the Service Provider is responsible for keeping their payout details accurate and up to date.

12. Ratings and reviews

After each trip, the Service Taker and Service Provider rate and review one another. Ratings are shown on member profiles and may influence future matching and bookings.

13. Prohibited activities and account conduct

Members must not:

  • Provide false information.
  • Misuse another member's information.
  • Engage in harmful, abusive, or illegal behavior.
  • Harass or discriminate against others.
  • Attempt to arrange or accept payment outside the Travellios platform.
  • Use Travellios for purposes outside the intended service.

Violating these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of access, and Travellios may pursue legal action where appropriate.

14. Lost property

It is your responsibility to remove your belongings from the airport or from a Service Provider when your journey ends. Travellios is not liable if a Service Provider does not return an item you left behind, and is not responsible for loss or damage to your property while it is in transit.

15. The role Travellios plays

Travellios is a technology platform, not a transportation provider. Airlines — not Travellios — carry out the actual travel. Travellios's role is to connect a Service Taker and a Service Provider with shared travel interests and to facilitate flight booking through the platform; neither party is employed by Travellios. Travellios charges only its own service fee — the remainder of any booking charge belongs to the airline.

16. Third-party services and content

The Services may link to or be used alongside third-party services and content — such as airline booking systems and payment processors — that Travellios does not control and does not endorse. Different terms and privacy policies may apply to those third parties, and Travellios is not responsible for their products or services. If you access the Travellios mobile app through Apple's App Store or Google Play, Apple Inc., Google LLC, and their applicable affiliates are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, though they are not a party to this contract and have no obligation to provide support for the Services.

17. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Travellios does not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, and does not guarantee the conduct, reliability, or safety of individual members. Service Providers are independent members of the Travellios community, not employees, agents, or professionally licensed or permitted providers of any service, and Travellios makes no representation as to their qualifications. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Travellios is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to access or use, the Services, from delays or failures outside its reasonable control, or from any transaction or interaction between you and another member. Nothing in this section limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

18. SMS / text message terms (verification codes)

When you enter your mobile number and request a code on our sign-up or sign-in screens, you consent to receive one-time passcode (OTP) text messages from Travellios to verify your identity and secure your account.

  • Program description. Travellios sends one-time verification and login codes to the mobile number you provide when you register or sign in.
  • Message frequency. Messages are sent only when you request them — typically one message per registration or login attempt, and each code expires after five minutes. This is not a recurring or marketing program.
  • Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
  • Opt-out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Because verification codes are required to access your account, opting out may prevent you from signing in.
  • Help. Reply HELP for assistance, or email us at support@travellios.com.
  • Carriers. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your mobile number and consent are never shared with third parties or used for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

19. Safety and verification

Travellios works to create a trusted community through:

  • Member verification.
  • Profile information.
  • Ratings and reviews.
  • Safety guidelines.

However, Travellios does not guarantee the behavior or actions of individual members. Service Providers are fellow travelers, not licensed or credentialed caregivers, medical professionals, or security personnel, and their support should not be relied on as such.

20. Travel information and guidance

Travellios may share travel tips, destination suggestions, or safety guidance to help members plan their journey. This content is provided for general assistance only and is not formal travel, medical, legal, or financial advice. We encourage members to do their own research and use independent judgment, and to consult the relevant professionals or authorities for advice specific to their circumstances. Travellios does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of this guidance, and members use it at their own risk.

21. Platform changes, governing law, and severability

Travellios may update, improve, or modify features and services from time to time, and may update these Terms and Conditions when necessary. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above; continued use of Travellios after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved through arbitration by a single arbitrator agreed on by both parties, conducted in English. If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

22. Account suspension or termination

Travellios may restrict or suspend accounts that:

  • Violate these terms.
  • Create safety concerns.
  • Provide false information.
  • Misuse the platform.

Beyond these cases, Travellios may also terminate these Terms or discontinue access to the Services, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason.

23. Privacy

Your use of Travellios is also subject to our Privacy Policy. Travellios is committed to protecting your personal information and maintaining a trusted platform.
